Founded in 2010 by D.C Mulji, the DCM Group is a second-generation, privately owned company based in Arlington, Texas. DCM is specializing in public and private buildings and healthcare projects. DCM offers expertise in construction management, general construction, design/build and build-to-suit lease-back, as well as experience in the corporate, healthcare, senior living, education, retail, hospitality/entertainment and industrial markets.

A Simple walk through of CM Medical Center for understanding for building infrastructure and planning and it show a short 3D view of entire building with ground floor, first floor and top floor.

Development of Interior spaces

  • Overall allocations for various interior space planning will be decided by the client and coordinated with the architect.
  • The prospective clients will have to decide the basic needs for interior medical space/design work and electrical requirements of special medical equipment.
  • At present the First Floor has ICU with 4 beds; NICU and a ward with 7+ beds .
  • The nearby City Mall’s Second Floor is available for extending / increasing the patients’ wards to extra 32+ beds.

  • GENERAL FUNCTIONAL / INFRASTRUCTURAL ASSUMPTIONS

    • Group Practice: Each floor may accommodate a group practice or PPO mode of practice made up of general practitioners, with some specialties such as diabetes, cardiology, etc.
    • Suggestion: The group of practitioners should be selected so that the group’s skill complement each other.
    • Sharing Consultation Rooms: It is assumed that most consultation rooms will be used on a shared basis by more than one physician. The physicians affiliated here may also have other offices elsewhere.
      • Support Services: The building will maintain minimal support services given the space constraints. It is assumed that there will be outside contract to buy the following services:
      •   Housekeeping
      •   Supplies
      •   Equipment
      •   Bulk Storage
      •   Maintenance
        • Some off-site storage facilities should be anticipated and planned for. Availability of nearby locations are feasible.
        • Pharmacy Shop is available, approximately 180 sq feet in the City Mall and touching the CM Medical Center.
        • Allocation of more space is available for other medical activities; Prospective clients will have to decide and discuss prior to occupancy.
        • Toilets for visitors are provided on both the floors.
        • Emergency and Safety Features in the building will be provided:
        • Power Generator is optional, Two Fire Extinguishers portables per floor in each wing, 5 total.
        • LED ceiling lights have been provided (well-lit) in the passages;
        • Wards and Rooms are well lit and proper number of electric sockets have been provided.
        • The middle passage has false ceiling to accommodate hidden wiring.
        • Parking is available for the emergency vehicles.
        • Water Supply: Municipal water with UG Water storage tank, Boring Water (for bathing and toilets) both is available. Three Overhead Water Tanks (with 5000 +5000+3000 liters capacity) have been provided.
        • Water cooler with filtration will be included for both the floors.
        • Air Conditioners: Split units will be optional for all the Operation Theaters, ICU,NICU and Wards will be optional.
        • Timing: The building could be operational 24/7.
        • Ward Room Features: Connections for Intercom, TV and indoor internet Wi-Fi has been provided
        • Food Service: The need for food services in the building is not anticipated. There will be no cafeteria on the premises.
        • Examination Rooms:
        • Waiting Area: Large Waiting Areas have been provided with easy proximity to proper toilet facilities and cold drinking water on both the floors.
        • The building structure: CM Medical Center is designed to meet the earthquake Zone 5 standards.
        • Prospective Clients: May decide the basic needs for interior medical space/design work and electrical requirements of medical equipment.
